Aquaponics Introduction

August 5, 2013

Citizen Peng is a man who built a greenhouse and fully operational aquaponics set up all on his own. It’s all documented on his youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5zfNTsLJItgpETSWWMstVg?feature=watch His system only uses a mere 500 watts per hour, less than most of your household appliances and easily powered by small wind turbines or solar panels. I’m not as handy as he is but this has got to be one of the most inspiring videos for a hobbyist like me. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone knew how to grow their own food.

English: The three primary types of wind turbine–Savonius and Darrieus vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) and a standard horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT)–all with three blades, are spinning as if they are in operation in real wind. They are spinning at the same speed (mathematically); 30 rpm. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
